As Singapore marked 80 years of the National Blood Programme to commemorate the milestone year. We are inspired by this meaningful journey, SG Diagnostics is doing our part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, our colleagues came together as volunteers and headed to the blood bank to contribute in our own way. We believe giving back to the community and every count can contribute to a greater collective effort.

Our team giving back through a blood donation activity at Bloodbank@Woodlands
A Growing Demand, A Continuing Need
In Singapore, 328 units of blood are required daily1. With an ageing population, more advanced life-saving medical procedures, and new hospitals being established, more blood will be needed every year2.
While the National Blood Programme has successfully met Singapore’s blood demands over the past 80 years, Singapore faces a looming supply crisis. Based on current population trends, Health Sciences Authority (HAS) predicts that the demand for blood could outstrip supply in as early as seven years1.
Through a blood donation activity among our team, we hope to do our part while raising awareness of the continued need for blood donation in Singapore. One blood donation can help save up to three lives3 — showing how a small act can make a meaningful difference.
And a little surprise made the journey even sweeter — we received a free POP MART blind box too!
The journey continues with every donor who steps forward. Together, let’s continuing the spirits of giving! *From 25 September to 12 October 2026, successful blood donors can receive a POP MART blind box at any of the five blood banks.
