Over the past quarter, we have been supporting a community diabetes based rescreening initiative at Bukit Batok Bus Interchange, led by the BBE Community Health Resource Centre, a project supported by the Jurong Health Fund. The initiative is a collaboration with Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and it aims to make health screening more accessible to eligible residents in the Bukit Batok district.
This initiative started on 23 April to 21 July 2026, conducted on every Thursday and Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm. The community screening included an HbA1c finger-prick test to measure average blood sugar levels in the past two to three months, with no fasting required, using our point-of-care solution PreciSTM-A HbA1c Rapid Analysis System. Participants also received height and weight measurements, as well as consultation and advice from healthcare professionals.

With the encouraging response from the community, BBE Community Health Resource Centre has extended the initiative and we are happy to continue our support throughout this event. The programme has also expanded to an additional screening location at Hillview, bringing health screening closer to more residents in the community.
