Workplace Wellness, Building a Culture of Health at MOHT Health Carnival

A healthier lifestyle begins at work. On 26 March, MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation (MOHT) organised a Health Carnival for workplace wellness to support Singapore’s vision of becoming a healthier nation. The event focused on health promotion and disease prevention, while encouraging employees to take a more active role in their well-being.

As part of our support for the event, we provided point-of-care testing solutions to enable simple and accessible health screening by using PreciSTM-C Cholesterol Monitoring System and PreciSTM-A HbA1c Rapid Analysis System. These point-of-care tests enabled employees to assess key health indicators, including cholesterol levels and HbA1c levels, helping them identify areas for follow-up if needed.

Singapore residents are making healthier lifestyle choices, with rising levels of physical activity and greater participation in health screenings. However, public health remains a concern as chronic disease prevalence rates are high, with about 1 in 3 Singapore residents continuing to have hyperlipidaemia and hypertension1.

Preventive care reduces the risk of developing diseases and supports early detection before complications arise. This initiative brings healthcare closer to employees and makes health monitoring more accessible within the workplace.

Building a healthier nation starts with awareness, prevention, and action. We are proud to support initiatives that promote population health and preventive care in the workplace, which MOHT has strengthened a culture of health and well-being among its employees.
