With a shared commitment to population health, we are proud to support a Health Talk for Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) Drivers event organized by People’s Association and NHG Health , which focused on raising chronic disease awareness within the Malay community.
Driver fatigue remains a major health and safety concern in the road transport sector. Long working hours, sitting for long periods and having irregular meals can lead to increase the risk of chronic health issues.
Our team conducted health checks for participants during the event
Partnering with NHG Health, the programme featured education talk on diabetes prevention and management, covering early detection, risk recognition and practical approaches, as well as daily lifestyle habits to promote preventive care.
Alongside the health talks, SG Diagnostics provided on-site HbA1c and blood pressure health checks using the PreciS™-A HbA1c Rapid Analysis System and PreciS™-B Blood Pressure Monitor for diabetes and hypertension management. This support was also carried out as part of the CHISEL community test-bedding programme, to strengthen community-based early detection and follow-up.
At-risk individuals identified through our point-of-care devices also received targeted guidance on next steps, including sharing on Healthier SG and preventive health practices. By combining education with on-site health checks, we aim to reduce barriers to care, make health checks more accessible and strengthen population health within the community.
The initiative also received media coverage and was featured on Berita Suria by MediaCorp, helping to amplify awareness of preventive health.
