Event Spotlight: Celebrating Health and Community Connections
March and April brought a series of meaningful collaborations and new milestones for us. From health screenings to educational webinars, each event aimed to connect and raise health awareness.
Here are the highlights from March and April:
Safe Sound Sleeping Place (S3P) Event
On 29 March, SG Diagnostics supplied test kits and strips to Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore) and provided onsite support during their collaboration with Bless Community Services and MSF to deliver health screening services for rough sleepers.This initiative was part of the Safe Sound Sleeping Place (S3P) scheme, which BCS manages to offer night shelters for the homeless and rough sleepers. In addition to health screenings, the event also included initiatives such as providing free clothes, dental check-ups, and snacks for homeless individuals. Watch the video below to learn more:
Webinar Series- Decoding Food Labels: Eating Right with Diabetes
We hosted the third session of our health webinar series: Decoding Food Labels: Eating Right with Diabetes, focusing on diabetes management through smart food choices. We invited an Accredited Nutritionist from Singapore, Ms. Fiona Chia, as a guest speaker, who shared practical tips on interpreting food labels, empowering participants to make healthier decisions, particularly important for those managing chronic conditions like diabetes.
The real-life examples helped the audience clarify how to choose between products for better support blood sugar levels and overall health. We hope these practical tips can empower our audiences to make choices that align with their health goals.
Celebrating SG60 at Canberra’s Largest Community Event
As part of our efforts to give back to the community, we were honored to offer free health screenings at Canberra Day in celebration of SG60. We engaged with families and residents through various health promotion activities. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with food, games, and joyful celebrations, made the event truly memorable. We are proud to have contributed to promoting better health and building a stronger, healthier community.
