PreciS™-B Blood Pressure Monitor

Blood pressure is the force of blood against your artery walls. When this pressure is consistently too high, it’s a condition known as hypertension. Often called “the silent killer,” hypertension typically has no symptoms but can cause serious long-term damage to your heart, kidneys, and blood vessels, leading to stroke or heart attack.

Blood pressure fluctuates depending on time of day, activity level, and emotions. For accurate readings, measurements should be taken under resting conditions and on several occasions. Normally, blood pressure will increase if:

1) Blood volume rises due to excess salt intake, which causes the body to retain more water.

2) Blood vessels become more rigid as a result of atherosclerosis, where fatty substances are deposited in the vessel walls.

Early management of blood pressure is key to preventing serious health issues in the future.

The PreciS™-B Blood Pressure Monitor operates using the oscillometric measurement method. During measurement, the cuff automatically inflates and deflates to detect arterial pulsations generated by blood flow through the arm. The device then analyses these pulse oscillations to automatically determine systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate, providing a quick and non-invasive blood pressure measurement.

Perform the measurement in a quiet and relaxed state by:

• Sit comfortably; ensure your back and arms are adequately supported and relaxed
• Rest your elbow on a table with your palm facing upward while keeping your body relaxed.
• Ensure cuff is level with your heart.
• Keep your feet flat on the floor to avoid crossing your legs.
• Conduct the measurement in a room with a comfortable temperature.
